The Brassie
Solid brass ball marker
A solid brass coin with real weight to it. Left raw to darken in your pocket, so it wears in the way a good club does. Your mark one side, your number the other.
The brassie took its name from the brass plate on its sole, the old wood you trusted off the fairway. Ours is a coin cut from solid brass, struck with the gorse mark and heavy enough to feel like it matters when you set it down.
We leave it raw. Brass does what leather and good wood do: it darkens with handling, takes the warmth of a pocket and a thumb, and turns from bright to deep over a season of rounds. No two finish the same. Yours becomes yours.
The reverse is left for you. Founders carry their number. Add initials, a date, or a course if you like. It travels in a small embossed leather sleeve, so it reads like something you keep rather than something you lose.
